Clodagh McGuire

Clodagh McGuire joined the bioinformatics team at King’s College Hospital in London in 2019 to train as a clinical scientist as part of the NHS Scientist Training Programme. She completed her training in 2022 and is now an HCPC-registered Clinical Bioinformatician for Synnovis at King’s where she analyses next-generation sequencing data for clinical diagnostics. She will be presenting on her research investigating GATA1 regulation of ribosomal protein genes in erythroid cells, which aims to increase the diagnostic regions for Diamond Blackfan Anaemia.
She previously worked on the 100,000 Genomes Project at Genomics England supporting academics, clinicians and students using the data from the project for research.
